Disenchanted with the big city, James Lyon-Shaw and Jamie Dobbin – who met working in the kitchen at the world-famous Ivy restaurant –  traded in London’s sooty tube and concrete vistas in favour of leafy scenery and community spirit.

Following the much-acclaimed opening of The Greene Oak, Windsor they then brought their signature rustic cooking and a warm hospitable welcome to Mayford and opened The Drumming Snipe in 2020.

The Greyhound is their third venture together and look forward to it becoming a pub that the local community are proud of.

Our teams are what make us. We pride ourselves on exceptional service, a menu that follows an aggressively seasonal structure alongside a strong focus on nose to tail cooking.
