Location: Rain Dogs, 120 Bethnal Green Road, E2 6DG

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, flexible hours.
Between 6 - 12 hour shifts.

Rain Dogs is a concept created by three friends looking to bring together all the best parts of the bar scene, as they see it, under one roof. Consistently exceptional service & hospitality underpins a carefully curated ‘dive’ bar where customers will find delicately built wine, cocktail and beer lists. Atmosphere is the cornerstone of Rain Dogs. Expect high quality playlists reflecting the ‘vibe’ and mood of Rain Dogs, as well as live music and DJ nights. Top-notch coffee will be served throughout the day with the aim of becoming a local spot for East London coffee and cocktail enthusiasts alike. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced bar staff to join our team and help create a place and experience that people will love.

Job Description

Position Overview: As a Bar Staff member at Rain Dogs, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our customers. You will be responsible for serving a range of high quality cocktails, beers and wine, as well as taking orders and maintaining the space. Prior experience in these areas is essential. We value a friendly and personable demeanour, as you will be an integral part of our team and interact directly with our customers. We are looking for both full and part time staff who are prepared to be flexible and fully committed to making Rain Dogs a success.

Responsibilities:

• Serve beverages, including beer, coffee, and cocktails, to guests in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring that all glassware and supplies are readily available.
• Interact with customers, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Mix and prepare cocktails and coffee (training provided if necessary).
• Handle payments securely and accurately.
• Monitor and enforce responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the bar.
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory management.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and sanitation standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential.
• Knowledge of beer, wine and spirits.
• Barista and cocktail preparation skills are desirable but not essential; we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Must be a team player and work well with others.
