The Scarborough Flyer is a well-established business set in the heart of the town centre, benefitting from a great day time trade and an even more impressive evening and weekend trade especially with the late trading on a Friday and Saturday night. with a huge sports focus and that all important “BIG” weekend.

The Scarborough Flyer is a versatile business with perfect zoning allowing our guests the opportunity to enjoy some traditional pub food or for our sports fans to enjoy the excellent sports viewing that’s on offer.

Although we are not a sports pub, it is a very big sales driver for us. Therefore, we will want our next General Manager to have their finger on the pulse as far as sport is concerned (not just football) ensuring we are making the most of the recent investment within the sports viewing facilities and just as importantly ensuring our guests have the best of experiences and wherever possible looking for ways to enhance their experience further.

As we are located within the heart of the town centre, the “Big” weekend is a mainstay to the business so previous experience running a business with a late license would be extremely beneficial.

The successful General Manager will ideally have two years’ experience of managing a similar style business and confident delivering weekly net food sales more than £3,000. You will also be able to demonstrate positively managing customer profile.

You will have proven experience and ability to ensure the highest levels of operational standards, both front and back of house. You will be financially astute and will relish the opportunities to increase both sales and profitability through the delivery of a fantastic guest experience whilst ensuring the business delivers its KPI’s.

We have a committed team of around 30 working within the business, so it is imperative that you are a General Manager who is committed to the training, coaching and development of the team to ensure their onward career development.
