You have ultimate flexibility:

• 167 only require 19 days per year *. 
• This can be broken down into batches of 4 days’ dependant on task.

How is 167 different to Regional Reserve Units?

• No Drill nights
• Only 19 days per year (* You can work up to 199 days).
• We recruit Nationally - You can live anywhere in the UK and join 167.
• Regardless where you live in the UK 167 pay your travel time and travel costs.

• Annual camps can be anywhere in the world at a time that suits you.

Your Role at 167 Regiment:

167 Catering Support Regt RLC provide worldwide catering support for both the Regular and Reserve Army.

167 are like any civilian catering agency, when the British Army requires catering support anywhere in the world, you may deploy.

We don’t just cook, you will be:

• Chef
• Shooting Instructor
• Climbing Instructor
• First Aid Instructor                               

• Driver
• Skiing Instructor
• Military Skills Instructor
• Adventure Training Instructor

What we offer you:

• Chef Training, from zero to higher culinary skills.
• Food Hygiene Training.

• 167 chefs deploy to Jordan, USA, Canada, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Cyprus, Afghanistan and Germany.
• Sport: We support Skiing, X Country, Sailing, Mountain Biking, Polo, Football, Netball and Cricket.
• Minimum commitment 19 days.
• Army, Tri Service, National and International Cooking Competitions.
• Unique Selling Point – The only Regiment of Chefs in the British Army 
• Regimental Insight Course weekends run from Grantham.
• Masterclass cookery weekends specialising in Chocolate, pastry, bread etc
