At InterContinental London Park Lane, we are currently looking for an Assistant Conference & Events Manager to support our Events Team!

Our Assistant Conferences & Events Managers:

  • Help to develop the overall quality and profitability of the Conference and Events Department, along with service standards and staff motivation.
  • Help the lead the team to be committed to the happiness of our internal and external guests, understanding and promoting its utmost importance
  • Plan and prepare Rotas, H&S, financial reviews and product development on a weekly basis
  • Spend time with the M+E team through one-to-one coffee chats and team meetings

This role will be reporting to the Conference & Events Manager, to ensure high quality guest service while being part of a fun and hardworking team. InterContinental London Park Lane hosts a variety of events throughout the calendar year including weddings, private dinners, charity galas and corporate meetings across our venues.

What you’ll need to succeed in this role:

Ideally, you will have management experience in Food and Beverage and will be able to demonstrate creativity, good planning and organisation skills as well as:

  • Be familiar with the standards within 4/5* luxury hotels
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of all departments as well as the hospitality sector in general.
  • Be able to evidence previous experience in creating balanced working environment
  • Show initiative and confidence as a leader

What we offer

We are committed to offer and provide our Assistant Conference & Events Manager with a competitive salary and a large range of benefits:

  • £33,000 salary plus paid overtime and great IHG perks!
  • 31days holiday each year, including bank holidays, this increases up to a maximum of 33 days (Pro Rated)
