The Principal York are looking for a Restaurant & Bars Manager to join our growing onsite Food & Beverage Management team.

Salary up to £32,000 per annum – (40 hour, per week contract)

All Overtime Paid

Working shift patterns will be between Breakfast, Afternoon and Evening services

Are you ready to bring your exceptional people skills and expertise to a crucial role in a world-leading luxury hotel?

Your role as a Restaurant & Bars Manager will be to assist and support the Head of Food & Beverage, James Thornhill, in all operational aspects of our, Restaurant  The Refectory, Bar The Chapter House and our Garden Room Lounge Area,  your role will cover management of staff and daily operations. You will be responsible for leading, educating, motivating and energizing the team to provide exceptional guest experiences.

YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:

  • Day-to-Day: Ensuring that allocated department is fully stocked by continually liaising with both your team, the Kitchen and other departments , to deliver a positive and memorable F&B experience
  • Continually: Review and develop the F&B offering in line with Head of Food & Beverage, to ensure we are offering an exceptional range of products to our guests
  • Collaborate: Work with all Department Managers and be responsible for attaining and where possible exceeding budgetary revenue targets across all F&B departments.
  • Training: Drive and improve the standards across all F&B areas ensuring the Brand Operating Procedures are always implemented effectively, through training for all team members
  • Monitor and Respond: To all customer feedback in a timely manner ensuring we use feedback to train, coach and develop the teams, in conjunction with the Head of F&B.
  • Own: The recruitment and development / training of the team towards improving motivation and retention.

So, what are we looking for I hear you ask? Well, if you are an established Assistant F&B Manager, or a F&B Manager looking for a new challenge, this may be for you. If you have worked as a Departmental Manager for 2 or more years in a Food and Beverage environment (ideally 4/5* hotels) and have bags of energy and are, of course, a Foodie this may be the role for you.
