Kitchen Porter

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our Back of House team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

In the role of Kitchen Porter, your key focus will be to:

  • ensure that all kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned to the highest standard
  • ensure that all equipment, cutlery, crockery, glassware etc. is stored and allocated to correct areas
  • assist kitchen and food service colleagues in the fetching and carrying of food and equipment
  • ensure that the correct cleaning procedures are followed in respect of chemicals and equipment and follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules
  • adhere to all company procedures on health and safety and hygiene including maintaining cleanliness of work areas at all times
  • report any accidents, breakages and potential hazards

Do you have? -

  • previous similar experience in a 5* hotel with a large banqueting operation and outlet restaurants
  • a high standard of cleaning and personal presentation
  • excellent attention to detail
  • ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • strong sense of teamwork
  • good knowledge of HACCP and COSSH
  • good level of English language
