Aim of the Receptionist Supervisor role:
To assist in the day-to-day running of Reception and to supervise reception in the absence of the Reception Manager.
Responsibilities of the Receptionist Supervisor:
- To be confident in assisting in the smooth running of the department, assisting with rota's and training of staff.
- To take pride and ownership of the smooth running and efficient organisation of the Reception in line with established procedures and standards.
- To establish a good relationship with colleagues showing teamwork and flexibility to assist in solving problems and answering queries.
- To work with all other departments in a suitably respectful, courteous and helpful manner.
- To be confident and take pride in ensuring the well-being, satisfaction and comfort of all guests within the limits of the Department and to establish a highly personalised style of service and attention to guests in keeping with the atmosphere of a luxury country hotel.
- To have a good working knowledge of all departments of the Hotel.
- To be confident in the full understanding of all equipment within the Front Office including Opera, Resdiary, Excel, Word and Email.
- To be familiar with all reservation tasks in order to cover this role if required, understanding teamwork and flexibility.
- To be efficient and well-informed in taking restaurant reservations, in the absence of the Restaurant Manager – availability, prices and any restrictions.
- To record all relevant comments of appreciation, suggestions and maintenance points in order to initiate follow up using your integrity.
