Fire Safety Manager

Up to £55,000 & Annual Bonus Scheme

The Fire Safety Manager role is an exciting and progressive niche role that takes the lead for Fire Safety across Stonegate Group (circa 4700 sites – Leased and Tenanted, Craft Union, Joint Ventures and Craft Union).

As an experienced Fire Safety Manager, you will have the ability to develop and nurture WIN WIN relationships. This integral to the role and key Stakeholders include all levels of Operations, Insurance, Learning and Development, Property, third party Fire Consultants, Auditors and Fire Primary Authority.

The ideal candidate will have a successful background in Fire Safety and ideally hands on exposure to the Hospitality Sector, but this isn’t essential. Commercial Nous and the ability to take ownership are central to this role along with the ability to analyse data and, therefore, identify risk and take proactive and pre-emptive action.

Additional responsibilities of a Fire Safety Manager include:

  • Embody the “Fire Conscience” for Stonegate Group and build a narrative around fire that wins hearts and minds. Build into existing platforms.
  • Lead the Fire Safety Strategy and Agenda for Stonegate Group whilst also implementing new policies.
  • Liaise with Primary Authority (Fire), third-party fire consultancies and auditors, where approved, to ensure that Stonegate Group adheres to the latest legislation and secures the best advice.
  • Prioritise fire enforcement visits, liaise with Fire Authorities and follow through on actions.
  • Provide proportionate Fire Safety communication, support and training across Stonegate Group
  • Responsible for the Fire Safety Management System across Stonegate Group

Qualifications/Experience Required:


  • Experience of working for a Managed and/or Leased and Tenanted Pub Company
  • Level 3 or 4 qualification in Fire Safety (CPD)
  • Affiliation of an accredited industry recognised safety body
  • Progressive track record in a Safety role
  • Current driving license

This is a remote role with potentially up to three days in trade each week. A structured and productive, way of working, will be necessary to combine the potential extensive travel associated with a role of this nature with an agreeable work/life balance.
