Finance Business Partner

About the role:

An amazing time to join - We are currently going through an exciting Business Change programme bringing in opportunities for Significant Expansion in our Pubs Division as well as the opening of Brewpoint in October, our state of the art super cool Brewery.

Reporting to Head of Finance, this role is responsible for completing month end processes and reporting for our Managed House Divisions (Pizza, Pots and Pints and Little Gems), producing analysis to assess actual performance and forecast future performance, carrying out variance analysis, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and will have Business Partnering responsibility with the Heads of Operations.

Key Accountabilities and decision ownership:

 Completion of the month end and the timely and accurate production of Management Accounts including analysis on the performance variances to Budget and Prior year
 Deep Dive P&L analysis to support Heads of Operations for their monthly meetings with Retail Director
 Support/Deputise Head of Finance in preparing financial performance papers to the UK Exec meetings
 Business Partnering support with Heads of Operations providing commercial insight and identifying areas of improvement or topics for further discussion
 Balance Sheet Reconciliations completed with the relevant supporting paperwork and commentary
 Divisional ownership of the Budgeting and Forecasting process
 Develop weekly reporting suite
 Banking and cash floats controls
 Prepare business cases for acquisitions, new trial’s or concepts to define potential benefits, options for achieving these, and associated business risks
 Monitoring and review of Promotional Activities
 Continuous review and monitoring of the incumbent processes within divisions. Assess existing reporting processes, propose improvements for streamlining and efficiencies point of view
 Works cross functionally across Finance and Operations to reduce duplication and improve efficiency in our reports and processes
 Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

Required experience:

 A career hungry qualifed individual (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or imminently qualifying
 Similar experience within hospitality or multi-site retail – essential
 Advance Microsoft skills - especially Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
 Excellent attention to detail and applying this analysis to improve business performance
 Ability to identify profit drivers and produce insightful analysis and commentary
 Can demonstrate good analytical and excel modelling skills
 Results focused – responsive and delivers work on time
 A team player who encourages and supports others to resolve issues in a collaborative manner
 Strong “can do” attitude
