Club Langley is the ideal location for parties, weddings and functions, with three banqueting halls to choose from and experienced staff to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Club Langley have an opportunity for an apprentice to join their team and expand their experience as a Hospitality Manager alongside working to gain a Level 4 Hospitality Manager Qualification.
Purpose of Job:
To contribute to the turnover and profitability of Club Langley Bar Services by the service of drink, food and venue bookings to the standard set by the management and to the satisfaction of the members, customers, and guests with whom a cordial and courteous relationship must be maintained at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To service drink, food and facilitate venue inquires to customers. To provide a welcome to members, customers, and guests and to comply with care procedures as detailed by the Management. To prepare the bar area for service and at all times maintain the standards of service and cleanliness set by the Management.
To handle cash and issue change and to use the cash registers in accordance with the instructions given by the Management. To be responsible for all cash and stock handled in the course of duty. To ensure that all transactions involving cheques, credit and charge cards are carried out in accordance with the procedures lay down by Management. To maintain standards of personal hygiene, dress and appearance as required by the Management. To maintain the cleanliness of the working area, and of the equipment used in accordance with standards required by Law and the requirements of the Management. To display stocks to the best advantage with the object of increasing and promoting sales of Club Langley’s products and goods. To observe all Licensing Laws and other statutory requirements, security procedures, hygiene, health and safety regulations, club fire procedures. To assist in the setting up and dressing of the function rooms alongside undertaking basic house and grounds maintenance.
It will also over time be your job to keep the customers happy. When we feel your experience is adequate you’ll also be responsible for managing stock levels, cashing tills, reconciling book work and figuring out staff rotas.

Skills Required

Experience counts for a lot in this business, if you’ve worked in a bar and served customers, you’re already a great candidate. On top of this, the best potential hospitality professionals are outgoing, positive and, most importantly, hands on. You may be sorting out a blocked toilet one minute and negotiating with suppliers the next. In addition you will need to have the following;
•Good level of numeracy.
•Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
•Comfortable working as part of a team and also using own initiative.
•Flexible with working hours – to include weekends, bank holidays and evenings.

Qualifications Required

None required, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.

48 hours over five days (inc evenings & weekends).
