General Manager – Royal Oak, Twickenham

Salary Up to £40,000 + 1 Bedroom Flat + Bonuses

The Royal Oak is the perfect balance of your favourite breweries tap room mixed with an incredible fresh food offering. A community hub with a classic traditional interior mixed with contemporary touches, cosy comfortable and inviting with nooks and crannies. Open kitchen serving hearty and delicious food including pizzas straight from our pizza oven. Beer perfectly kept, fresh and straight from the tank.

The pub also benefits from an inviting covered and heated front terrace, surrounded by wicker fencing, we also offer a dining / function room for up to 80 guests.

We are looking for a hands-on General Manager who has proven experience in the following areas.

  • Experience in building, retaining, recognising, and rewarding a high performing team
  • The ability to consistently deliver a phenomenal guest experience
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing an appropriate diary of weekly events, creating a reason to visit
  • Experienced working with a fresh food offer and a restaurant standard / style of service
  • A proven networker within the local and wider community
  • Fully conversant with all things safe & legal

Our ideal General Manager will be able to unlock the potential to develop the sales further both daytime and evening whilst ensuring the business is kept fresh and appealing throughout the week with additional reasons to visit such as quizzes and appropriate entertainment.

We are a premium business and we attract a broad spectrum of customers including, local residents, sports fans (especially rugby) and regulars of all ages.

As General Manager you will relish the opportunity to be the face of the business, you will have immense pride in your team and the levels of hospitality they show your guests.

You will be a sales focused General Manager and will understand how to communicate, welcome and retain your guests to ensure that repeat business, whilst ensuring your team are well trained, constantly developed and have fun whilst at work!

As a General Manager, you will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.

We require all our General Managers to hold a Personal License
