We have something for everyone – from brunch to pre-theatre dinner and or just coffee and drinks from the bar. Since we opened in 2006 we’ve catered for hundreds of events and launches from weddings to awards ceremonies.
As a family-run business we have a strong team of front of house, bar and chefs including our Head Chef Jonnie Stafford, and of course the owner and chief bottle-washer Alan McKenna.

They are looking to expand their team and are looking applicants who are keen to forge a career within the catering industry. Mckenna's are looking for a keen individual open to learning all about kitchen operations and develop cooking skills whilst working to gain a Level 2 Production Chef Qualification.
The role will include:
*Preparation of a variety of foods
*Preparation and cooking of desserts
*Preparation of hot and cold sandwiches
*Plated meals
*Following direction of experienced chefs
*Supporting other chefs across all areas of the kitchen
*Catering at private and corporate events as per the business needs
*Maintaining food safety and safe working practices within the kitchen

Qualifications Required
None maths and english will be assessed as part of the interview process
Future Prospects
The business is very good at developing their staff, often progressing from within.
As a multi site operator there are opportunities to move.
A great opportunity to work in other site, gain experience in both bistro operation and external catering.
Training to be Provided
Level 2 Food Production Chef Apprenticeship. Maths and English if required.
Expected Duration
12 Months
Working Week
30 hours Monday - Saturday 9.30-8pm
Things to consider
There may be times for you to work outside of normal opening hours, special occasions and catering events.
The site is closed on Sunday and bank holidays
Staff meals are provided
