Our Sous Chef (Banqueting) is accountable for kitchen operation including production, cleanliness and safe systems of work, and deputises in the absence of our Executive Head Chef. You will work in a team to ensure our food is served at are the highest standards.

Our Sous Chefs ensure all food, if for conference or another event, is received in a timely manner and that the guest expectations are consistently exceeded. We aim to make our guests happy through our excellent food and service!

About you

Our people help to make the biggest difference - If you enjoy variety and are at your best when being part of a team as well as being passionate about delivering excellent guest service through your high-quality food service, this role is for you.

It’s important to remember your importance and reason for completing each job- Our guests! From the beginning to end of the Guests dining experience, we want them to be wowed.

To succeed as our Sous Chef, you will need:

  • To have been a Sous chef for 1-2 years within a global hotel brand or restaurant of the same classification / cuisine (as minimum) with comparable size and complexity
  • To be experienced in local cuisine, with practical experience of at least one other cuisine and experience catering meetings, social events and restaurants
  • To have completed level 3 Food Safety certification and have knowledge in HACCP
  • Knowledge of appropriate systems to support operational processes– Micros Simphony (or relevant POS), Procure Wizard and Quinyx
  • Knowledge of appropriate working to brand standards relating to food and the ability to create and deliver appropriate menus, using appropriate suppliers and product
  • To be part of external networks and up to date with critical issues and trends in food
  • Technical skills to work on every section for every service period in the kitchen
