General Manager - The Canute, Gainsborough

The Canute is a brilliant Proper Pub situated in the Centre of Gainsborough. Famed for great hospitality, a superb food offering served from breakfast to evening, fantastic sports viewing and that big weekend experience.

We are a one bar operation, currently trading well through its sport offering, weekly entertainment, and strong weekend trade.

Our ideal General Manager will be able to unlock the potential to develop the breakfast and luch trade further around the market days whilst ensuring the business is kept fresh and appealing throughout the week with additional reasons to visit such as quizzes and entertainment, as we attract a broad spectrum of customers including, shoppers, sports fans, and regulars of all ages. In essence it’s a family friendly business that has huge potential, therefore we require a General Manager who is adaptable and pro-active in creating sales building opportunities to ensure the Canute’s onward success.

We are looking for a General Manager who has proven experience in the following areas.

• Experience in building, retaining, recognising, and rewarding a high performing team
• The ability to consistently deliver a phenomenal guest experience
• Proven experience in creating and implementing an appropriate diary of weekly events, creating a reason to visit
• Experienced in promoting and delivering a great sport viewing experience for our guests
• A qualified hand to manage an all-day food offer (Breakfast to evening)
• Fully conversant with all things safe & legal
