Rudyard Hotel is a small independent, family run hotel. Set in the beautiful heart of Rudyard village against the lovely Rudyard lake, this hotel offers delicious home cooked fresh food with a menu catered directly from our team of chefs.
Rudyard Hotel is a beautiful Victorian style building and has fantastic picturesque surroundings which gives us the opportunity to cater in weddings, breakfast conferences, amongst other parties, etc.

As a chef your responsibilities include:

  • Following the guidance of the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of all menu dishes and other products made within the kitchen.
  • Optimising the cooking processes with attention to speed, quality and delivery.
  • Complying with strict health and hygiene standards and maintaining impeccable quality standards within the kitchen and service areas at all times, including a weekly deep cleaning schedule.
  • Being a team player within the kitchen team and service areas and with the hotel team as a whole.
  • Compliance with all legislation and hotel operating guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a busy, fast paced, high volume kitchen
  • Banqueting experience is preferred
  • Experience in delivering quality food catered in weddings, etc
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure during busy peak times
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team with both back and front of house
  • Attention to detail and high standards of presentation
  • Availability evening/weekends/bank holidays etc.
