Detailed Job Description

Alton Towers Resort have fantastical new Apprenticeship Opportunities within their 5 unique accommodations.
Joining the team as an Apprentice Chef De Partie you will learn how to operate one of the county's largest catering establishments. You'll manage and supervise our kitchen and Chef teams and help develop our menus, ensuring guests are kept with smiles on their faces. Rising to the challenge, you'll make the Chef Supervisor role your own and provide excellent support to the Head Chef.
Alongside this you will complete a level 3 Senior Production Chef qualification in partnership with one of the highly skilled professional Chef Training Consultants at HIT Training. This will be a minimum 12 month programme where you will learn and develop all aspects of yourself and your teams culinary skills and operational standards in the kitchen.
You will be responsible for:
* Helping to train and manage kitchen staff and drive high standards in one or more of the resorts restaurants.
* Make sure that equipment and mise en places are ready to go before each service.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed.
* Oversee the daily organisation of the kitchen, including rota planning, open and closing checks and operational reporting duties.
* Help minimise waste, whilst maximising profit levels and ensuring that menu items are produced to the highest standards.
* Striving to exceed our customers' expectations so that our guests experience an all round Hospitality in our venues.

Skills Required

People management skills.
Awareness of COSHH and HACCP.
A strong background in the catering industry or experience in a similar role.
Comfortable conducting training with guidance from Line Manager and Mentor.
A professional approach to your work.

Personable and approachable with a sense of fun!

Qualifications Required

No specific qualifications are required however applicants must have experience of supervising/leadership responsibilities within a catering environment or similar.
Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.
