Junior Sous Chef

The Little Gems group is a collection of charismatic Pubs which at the moment spans Hertfordshire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire. The collection composes part of the Managed Houses division of pub company & brewery Wells & Co.

We aim to serve up quality food and drinks and provide our locals and out-of-town guest a place to dine, drink, sleep and relax. Much like our interiors, we are an eclectic mix of the old with the new. Reclaimed wood upcycled furniture and original features provide a fresh approach to dining but with that old-fashioned sense of hospitality.

A former 17th century coaching inn, now a Pub & Restaurant with Rooms. In the centre of Olney, overlooking the Market Place, we sit at the heart of the local community; a great spot to watch the world go by.

Your role as chef:

Your main duties will involve:

- Prepare, cook and present perfect food in accordance with Apostrophe standards therefore exceeding guest satisfaction at every eating occasion
- Taking PRIDE in maintaining highest standards of cleanliness and safety
- Adhere to safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Adhering accurately and consistently to portion controls
- Carrying out stock rotation to ensure all food items are within their shelf life, including maintaining correct storage conditions
- Ensuring the kitchen operation is maintained to the highest of standards with regards to cleanliness and maintenance

What we are looking for:

- Minimum 6 months chef experience
- Ability to work on your own initiative
- Desire to learn, improve and train from those around you
- A proud individual that always strives to deliver their best
- Passion for fresh food
