Run A Pub - Queen's Head

Located in the centre of a quintessentially English village, this 19th Century pub is brimming with charm and character and enjoys a diverse range of guests.

The Queen’s Head is situated in the charming English village of Broad Chalke, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is surrounded by breathtaking views, picturesque walks and scenic cycle rides.  In addition, the pub is in close proximity to some of the most beautiful attractions in the South West and Broad Chalke itself has had some very notable residents.

The pub building dates back to the 15th Century, with real log fires and superb characterful features.  Recently refurbished, the Queen’s Head combines a traditional ambience with modern equipment and facilities.  Internally, there are many linked guest areas with a central bar servery and the pub enjoys a thriving trade in the locals bar. To the rear of the pub is a large car park leading onto an enclosed patio garden, which features the 4 bedroom letting block.  The cellar, fully equipped trade kitchen and toilet facilities are all situated on the ground floor.

The trade is an eclectic mix of locals, ramblers, destination foodies and staying guests and the ideal applicant therefore needs to be comfortable with the varying demands of the different clientele.  Catering experience would be a distinct advantage and ideal applicants would include chefs and restaurateurs, traditional publicans and current managers or tenants.

The domestic accommodation comprises 3 spacious bedrooms, dining room, large lounge, kitchen, bathroom and office.  It is accessed from within the pub but not through the guest areas.
