Run A Pub - Bell

A landmark roadside food pub on the outskirts of Frome, close to Longleat, and in the heart of the Mendips.

The Bell is positioned in the hamlet of Standerwick on the outskirts of the popular Somerset town of Frome.  The local farmers livestock market is less than half a mile away with auctions twice a week. There has been a pub on the site of the Bell since at least 1880, offering refreshments to travellers for the last 140 years. It is prominently sited on the busy A36 trunk road linking Bath (16 miles) to Salisbury (27 miles) and Dorset. Within a short drive is the immensely popular Longleat Safari Park and Center Parcs. Other nearby towns include Warminster, Trowbridge and Westbury.

The Bell has been recently refurbished with the customer area divided into four different sections offering a total of 110 covers.  The main bar servery sits opposite the entrance to the pub with the carvery station alongside.  There is a premium fully equipped catering kitchen and a large cellar, all on the ground floor.  Another 100 covers are outside on well-established patio areas.  The business is well known in the area having gained a great reputation for food and is one of the few pubs locally with the capacity for large bookings.

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with a premium site and show a desire to capitalise and expand upon an already busy offer.

There is private accommodation upstairs which is spacious and well maintained, comprising 2 bedrooms, office, large lounge, fully fitted kitchen, and well equipped bathroom.
