an opportunity for an experienced General Manager to join Bar Home, Merchant City, Glasgow

General Manager – Bar Home, Merchant City, Glasgow

Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 p.a. + Bonuses

Bar Home is a stylish bar situated within the trendy Merchant City area of Glasgow, offering superb cocktails, Boozy Brunches, Stone Baked Pizza, Craft Beers, extensive Gin range, quiz nights and resident DJ’s to name but a few things we are famed for!

Bar Home Is set over two levels with the main bar on the ground floor and a smaller bar on the second mezzanine level which helps our speed of service on busy trading days. The ground floor has an expansive floor layout complete with booths, fixed, low level and high-level seating perfectly suited for a bustling lunch trade or late night entertainment. The mezzanine has plenty of seating and is ideal for large bookings or party space at night.

We are looking for a General Manager who can nail the day job as far as the legalities are concerned such as Food Safety, compliance and due-diligence is concerned but then can really show their creative streak, as we really want a General Manager who can put their stamp on the business through sales driving activities that will create additional reasons to visit, this will be Manager & team led, so there is plenty of autonomy within the business to showcase your creative side!

We have also recently invested in the sports viewing facilities which will now become a huge additional sales driver within the business.

Our ideal General Manager must be very experienced with background of running city centre businesses with high sales, sports, great food, and superb teams. You will also be passionate about your guests ensuring they are being treated to the highest levels of service and friendly hospitality. You you will be committed to the development, coaching and management of your teams to ensure that they are engaged, recognised, and rewarded for doing a brilliant job.

As a General Manager, you will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and
the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all
aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and
brand integrity.
We require all our General Managers to hold a Personal License
