Bar Manager

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Bar Manager at The Wigmore, an upscale luxury tavern. The Wigmore, which bagged best cocktail at ‘London Cocktail Week’ in 2017, serves great wines, cask ales and craft beers including The Wigmore’s very own house “Saison”, brewed in partnership with Yonder Brewing.The food has received excellent comments from both food critics and guests.In this role, we are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

In the role of Bar Manager, your key focus will be to:

  • adopt a strategic approach in achieving business results for The Wigmore
  • lead and drive the daily operations of The Wigmore
  • take ownership of the profitability of The Wigmore
  • develop and deliver on-target KPI results
  • demonstrate a real understanding of achieving and maintaining quality through effective service management
  • maintain an in-depth knowledge of the competitive environment and outlet market trends, through competitor site visits, trade media/forums and appropriate press reviews
  • recruit, retain, lead, develop and inspire the bar team in delivering excellent service and build guest loyalty
  • work collaboratively with management colleagues to further the overall business objectives of the hotel

  • passion for and excellent knowledge of food, beverage and service
  • industry knowledge and up-to-date information on latest trends
