Front of House Manager - DoubleTree by Hilton, Coventry Building Society Arena

Delaware North UK is hiring for a Front of House Manager to join our team at Double Tree by Hilton at The Coventry Building Society Arena.  Delaware North is a global leader in hospitality at sporting venues, national parks, airports, and casinos in North America, the UK and Australia.

This is you, and we need your stand out customer service skills and keen eye for detail to join our team at the DoubleTree by Hilton as a Front of House Manager. The Hotel itself boasts 121 guest rooms including 50 queen rooms with stadium views of The Coventry Building Society Arena!

The role of Front of House Manager will need to be able to plan and action departmental goals ensuring these are communicated to the wider team.

A day in the life of a Front of House Manager:

  • Recruit, train and develop new & existing colleagues ensuring Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously trained to learn and understand policies and practices.
  •  Oversee the entire Front Office operation to maintain high standards.
  • Evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure regular and VIP Guests are recognised and that the Front Office department operates with a sales attitude and promotes the hotel brand's loyalty scheme.
  • Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
     
  • Monitor staffing levels to meet business demands and manage staff performance.
  • Live and promote our brand promise and culture of delivering the travellers reward and creating a rewarding experience.

This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis of 40 hours per week, with weekend and evening work required.

Essential Experience:

  • Front Office supervisory experience in the hotel, leisure, and/or retail sector
  • High level of IT proficiency
  • High level of attention to detail and rigorous commitment to accuracy
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and works well under pressure
  • Highly organised and an excellent team player
  • Excellent written/ verbal communication skills
  • High level of commercial awareness and sales capabilities
  • Experience of managing people and developing people
  • Previous experience of managing a department and profit and loss account
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations
