Accounting Clerk - Head Office

A day in the life of an Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions in accordance with established standard procedures.

  • Resolving supplier queries by liaising between Suppliers and site Logistics teams.
  • Filing, managing and prioritizing Supplier statements.
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations, including identifying missing invoices, following up with supplier contacts and or team members to resolve issues, and providing support where required.
  •  Perform a variety of complex clerical, bookkeeping and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records.
  • To ensure a good/steady relationship with the Third Party Global Business Services team (WNS). Ensure any queries are followed up on a timely basis.
  • Accurately code, batch and process invoices from suppliers, including making sure that all invoices are approved by the relevant managers so payments are not withheld unnecessarily.

What we’re looking for

  • Relevant education qualification or 3+ years relevant finance experience
  • Excellent systems and excel skills to complex pivot table level
  • High level of attention to detail and rigorous commitment to accuracy
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and works well under pressure
  • Highly organised and an excellent team player
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Able to travel to other Delaware North sites as requested from time to time
  • Use/knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar accounting system
