Kimpton Blythswood Square are looking for a Bars & Lounge Manager to join our growing onsite Food & Beverage Management team, reporting directly to our Director of Operations.

Salary up to £32,400.00 per annum – (40 hour, per week contract)

Salary Breakdown:  Basic salary up to £30,000 & £200.00 Service Charge (monthly not guaranteed) Plus All Overtime Paid

Working shift patterns will be between

10:00am - 01:00am Monday to Sunday (This is not set, and you may need to cover Morning shifts where required)

This role will involve managing our Hotel Bar & Lounge, you will manage the hotel beverage &  afternoon tea service, ensuring all team members are trained to deliver Kimpton 5* memorable moments, to each and every guest.

The Bar and Lounge concept is currently under review, and this is an opportunity for you to come on board and put your own personality and stamp on a new opening area of the hotel, including building a team from scratch and training and delivering 5* quality.

The successful Bars & Lounge Manager will have Food & Beverage Management experience with a passion for wines, cocktails and creating unique guest service experiences. You will be someone who enjoys interacting with people, overseeing a team, delivering high standards of service and building rapport with guests to ensure they have a positive and memorable experience.

Your day to day

YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE:

  • Day-to-Day: Ensuring that the area is fully stocked by continually liaising with both your team and the kitchen, to deliver a positive and memorable service experience.
  • Continually: Review and develop the afternoon tea and bar offering in line with the Director of Operations to ensure we are offering an exceptional range of products to our guests
  • Collaborate: Work with all F&B Department Managers and be responsible for attaining and where possible exceeding budgetary revenue targets across all assigned F&B departments.
  • Training: Drive and improve the standards across the bar areas ensuring the Brand Operating Procedures are always implemented effectively, through training for all team members
  • Monitor and Respond: To all customer feedback in a timely manner ensuring we use feedback to train, coach and develop the teams, in conjunction with the Director of Operations.
  • Own: The recruitment and development / training of the team towards improving motivation and retention.
