This is an outstanding opportunity to join our management team as a Head Chef in our successful Restaurant and Bar. We currently serve a blend of international breakfasts along with evening service consisting of gourmet pizzas, tapas and some old favourites that can be adjusted to incorporate the appropriate creativity.
As Head Chef you will have previous experience running professional kitchens small or big, you will be well versed in the day to day management of the kitchen as well as dealing with busy services. You will also be responsible for the ordering, menu and costings along with staff management. You will have creative control along with the added responsibility of keeping within GP targets together with maintaining a 5-star hygiene rating.
A secondary responsibility is as oversight of the business when the Operations Manager is absent. Hence we are looking for a Head Chef who shows professionalism, reliability and can demonstrate a mature and sensible attitude to contribute as part of a team. Ideally you will have a minimum 4 years’ experience and prepared to progress as our business embarks on an aggressive growth strategy over the coming 18 months.
This position is crafted to accommodate the growth of the business, which means you will be an integral part of the success of the overall operations of at least one and likely two food and beverage businesses over the next 12 to 18 months.
Remuneration is negotiable and can incorporate high quality accommodation, within 10 minutes walking distance of the restaurant.

What we’re looking for: •Someone with a background of dealing with high volume and preparing fresh ingredients, •Proven track record of running a professional kitchen, •Good communication skills,•A team player who will be expected to be a hands-on chef in all areas.
You will be: •Experienced and confident in structuring the kitchen to keep on delivering the high standard of fayre served, •Passionate about what you put on the plate, •Wants to be part of a progressive and forward-thinking business, •Menu development and costing experience, •Proven track record of managing budgeted GPs, •The ability to work to and maintain 5-star food hygiene standards.
