Pastry Chef De Partie

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Pastry Chef de Partie to join our talented pastry team. In this role, you will be working with a talented team and being responsible for in all aspects of service and production in the pastry kitchen.

In the role of Pastry Chef de Partie, your key focus will be to:

  • be passionate and committed about the preparation and service of afternoon tea, pastries and desserts
  • lead a section and be a team player
  • ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times
  • ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the standards required by the Hotel
  • follow closely the recipe specifications to ensure consistency of pastry/desserts
  • ensure all mise-en-place is set up accordingly

Do you have? –

  • previous similar experience in a 5* luxury hotel, with medium to large banqueting and afternoon tea offering
  • knowledge of chocolate work and ideally an understanding of afternoon tea operation
  • ability to supervise a talented and eager brigade of junior chefs
  • good interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • excellent attention to detail
  • food safety training along with relevant culinary qualifications
