Graphic Designer (Hybrid - Studio / Home)

Stonegate is the UK’s largest Pub company, boasting a great mix of popular bespoke pubs and venues across the nation that cater to any guest and any occasion. We pride ourselves on raising the bar of the British Pub by being the best for our people, guests and communities.

We’ve got a great opportunity in our newly opened in-house Wakefield Design Studio. We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer who is highly motivated, has a fun personality and has the creative ability to push for innovation and originality when it comes to design. As a brand guardian, you will be responsible for taking projects from concept to delivery and combining strong creative ideas with excellent art-working skills, while keeping the brand on point.

Key responsibilities

  1. Creating compelling campaigns and designs from internally driven briefs delivered by the marketing teams.
  2. Delivering clear call to actions and keeping within brand guidelines.
  3. Working collaboratively within our team of designers, photographers and copywriter to deliver against key Studio objectives.
  4. Creating consistent brand execution across print and digital advertising campaigns.
  5. Managing and evolving solutions to reduce menu complexity across the business.
  6. Mentoring junior members of the team to help develop and achieve their design progression and project goals.

Requirements

A recent portfolio showcasing creative ability across print and web design. That highlights great use of typography and layout skills, plus striking visuals across various marketing material. Hospitality background would be advantageous.

  • Strong software skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects would be advantageous.
  • Within a fast-paced environment, you’ll need to work efficiently and be adaptable at jumping in and out of multiple projects throughout the various stages of the design cycle, while maintaining an excellent standard of design.
  • An excellent communicator who works well within the team but also has the self-motivation to work autonomously.
  • Minimum 3 years design experience preferably agency based, mentoring experience.
