Reception Assistant Manager

The Swan at Streatley is a beautiful riverside boutique hotel attracting visitors from far and wide as well as a great local following. Accompanied by an onsite Coppa Club together we aim to give our guests a tranquil, relaxing riverside escape.


We are currently looking for a confident and experienced Reception Assistant Manager to join our friendly team. This challenging role within a growing business could be a great step for anyone with a passion for customer service looking for their next opportunity!


You will be working in a diverse, fast-paced environment with a young, dynamic and enthusiastic team. The ideal candidate must be well-presented, have exceptional organisational skills, use their initiative and have the ability and personality to build rapport with all guests & gym members.


Your duties will be (but not limited to)

·       Assisting the Reception Manager in the running and organisation of the reception department

·       To ensure the customer journey is delivered to every guest who walks into our hotel

·       To assist with reception shift, checking guests in, out, responding to enquires and promoting a positive atmosphere

·       To work as a duty manager ensuring the hotel is kept at it’s best, helping guests and resolving any issues

·       To lead by example when on shift and support the receptionists in their duties

·       To promote the hotel and business wherever possible


Previous experience in a hotel environment, a great attitude and passion for delivering a personable guest journey are a must!


The role is 40 hours per week, over 5 days including weekends. Typical shifts are 7:00 am-3:00 pm or 3:00 pm–11:00 pm. Live-in available.
