Detailed Job Description

The Award Winning Farmers Boy Inn, as seen on C4's "Four in the Bed" TV series, is surrounded by Gloucestershire countryside and on the edge of the Forest of Dean and they are blessed with vast amounts of fresh produce & local businesses that offer an abundance and wide range of products.
The Farmers Boy Inn has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Chef to join the team, learn the trade and gain a Level 2 COmmis Chef qualification
Duties include:
You will be trained in and learn skills to become an accomplished Commis Chef who will be able to work on all sections of a very busy kitchen, learning knife skills and how to prepare and cook every aspect of the menu items
You will be responsible for Food Safety and Health and Safety within the kitchen environment
You will work alongside professional chefs who will instruct and train you while you work
You will assist and support the kitchen team
You will assist with daily and weekly cleaning schedules

None, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process

Commis Chef apprenticeship Level 2

Expected Duration

12 Months

Working Week

36 hours a week to evenings and weekends; shifts TBC.

You will be required to work evenings and weekends and some split shifts.
