This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but impressive team of passionate and experienced Early Years practitioners at Free Range Explorers, and work with a great group of young children whilst learning a new role. This is the perfect role for someone looking to start or further a career with young children and would suit a student looking for the next step after leaving full time education, or possibly an older person who is interested in starting a new career.

A successful candidate would enjoy being outside and in company of young children, and work alongside other adults in the team. They would need to have a positive attitude, ability to investigate different learning methods, a great sense of humour, and not be worried about getting a bit muddy on occasion.

The role can be energetic and needs a candidate who is happy to be physical. As our setting is small in time there would be roles within the job that would require responsibility and ability to think and work independently.

Our new apprentice will be involved in developing routines with the children including mealtimes, sleep times and nappy changes. They would learn and be required to understand the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), as well as explore and use the policies that Free Range Explorers have in place.

Enjoying creating opportunities and activities for children will also be part of this role.

The perfect candidate would:

-Enjoy being around young children and babies.

-Reliable and a good timekeeper

-Be polite and courteous.

-Promote a healthy physical and mental lifestyle.

-Be fit and well for a demanding role with children

-To support and contribute to the learning journeys of the children attending.
