Kitchen Apprentice

Cellar Door require an apprentice who wishes to be a chef. Who will prep food, help to prepare dishes and clear down kitchen with the team, learn the trade and gain a Level 2 Production Chef Qualification.

Cellar Door is a bistro café in the daytime, offering breakfast and lunch and is a restaurant and bar in the evening. The restaurant is situated upstairs and has an open pass to the kitchen so you can see the team of chefs at work. Our bar serves the freshest and finest cocktails, wines, local ciders and craft beers.

Detailed Job Description

Cellar Door's menu is all about taste, as an independent bar and bistro they keep their menus seasonal and regularly adjust them to ensure they are always using the best ingredients available at the time.
Cellar Door has an exciting new opportunity for an apprentice to join their busy kitchen team, learnt the trade alongside working to gain a Level 2 Production Chef Qualification.
Duties include:
To support executive chef in daily roles of preparing fresh produce and assisting during service
Preparing food for day and evening service.
Work alongside a small tight knit team.
Learning about storage and food preparation along with health and safety.

Qualifications Required

None required, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process. You have to be aged 16 years or over and also need to be a resident in England and not taking part in full-time education.

Future Prospects

Dependent on performance, the candidate could progress to being a permanent member of the kitchen team.
