Detailed Job Description

The Harp take a great deal of pride in all of their produce, all foods are sourced as locally as possible and are often only picked a couple of hours before preparation, as they visit various farms on a daily basis. Their area of speciality is fantastic fresh food.
Their team's development is at the heart of everything they do. As a result, a lot of time and effort is given to enhancing their colleagues’ knowledge and skills. It is their aim to improve their service every day.
The Harp Inn now have an exciting opportunity for a keen apprentice chef to join their team, learn the trade and work towards gaining a Level 2 Commis Chef Qualification.
Duties included
You will be trained to prepare and cook and very wide range of fresh foods to include, fish and game
You will support the team with instructions from your Head Chef
You will need to assist with washing up when required
You will be taught all aspects of working within a pub, this may include experience learning front of house and cellar duties
You can gain experience in Butchery by spending time with the local butcher

Skills Required

Good communication
Willing to work as and support part of a small team

Honest
Good time keeping
Ability to use own initiative

Qualifications Required

None required, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process. You have to be aged 16 years or over and you also need to be a resident in England and not taking part in full-time education.

Future Prospects

You will be working towards a full time role should one be available at the end of your Apprenticeship.
