We are the largest privately held Pub and Bar operator in the UK and we are looking for experienced Deputy Managers to join our teams in assisting the General Managers to improve all aspects of the business. You will have experience in managing Profit and Loss, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.

As a Deputy Manager, you will need to be able to demonstrate passion and energy to deputise in the absence of the General Manager and lead the team.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Conduct appraisals and produce development plans for team leader and team members; develop team members to team leader position

  • Assist the general manager to train, coach mentor and motivate team members

  • In the General Managers’ absence, attend area meetings and feedback any relevant information to the management team and team members

  • Deal with team member performance issues and escalate where appropriate

  • Hold pre-session briefings as and when appropriate

  • Take responsibility for own training

  • Have knowledge and understanding of competitor activity and assist with implementing and driving promotions

  • Understand the pub’s budget and manage expenditure accordingly

  • Demonstrate good understanding of the P&L

  • Lead by example to ensure that the highest possible levels of customer service are delivered by the team at all times

  • Service and standards are implemented and adhered to by team
