This is an exciting opportunity to join our UK&I Hotel Operations Team at IHG as our Learning & Development Project Manager!

This is a Fixed Term Contract starting ASAP to 28/02/2023

This role will be a remote role, with regular travel to hotels in England, Wales & Scotland.

You will enable outstanding hotel performance delivered through exceptional colleague learning experiences with a focus on culture, capability, quality, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.    

Key responsibilities:

  • To deliver against the L&D strategic plan for the UK&I leased and managed hotels
  • To embed and sustain the hotel brand service culture
  • To drive quality and performance of the hotel through targeted learning interventions
  • To analyse performance through our quality metrics and indicators including but not limited quality reports and social media avenues
  • To mentor, coach and develop our people
  • Manage, monitor and evaluate ongoing learning activities
  • Evaluate and improve management practices and behaviours to drive a high-performance culture by enabling managers and leaders to be their best at work
  • Build colleague capability through coaching

What we need from you

We are looking for Learning development professional, or an operator who has proven experience in a Learning & Development role and has experience leading culture change ideally within hospitality or retail environments. We are looking for someone with front line, customer service experience ideally who has been involved in writing SOP’s and on job training assessment sign off via a skills matrix. This role will be a mix of home/office based work, managing L&D projects and supporting the L&D Team with facilitation and training out in the field.

Critical Expertise & Recent experience:

  • Experience of business partnering and the successful integration of a learning & development agenda into the business
  • Delivery of complex change programmes with success metrics and maintenance programmes
  • Create an inclusive culture where all colleagues feel supported to work at their best
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and experience of integrating a learning & development plan to drive performance
  • Ability to build trust, challenge constructively and confidently, and communicate with impact
  • Experience of identifying key capability gaps and building interventions and integrating into learning & development plan

  • Strong analysis capability to inform/influence decisions
  • Strong facilitation skills
