As Head Concierge, you will manage a team of concierge team members who manage the concierge desk 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. The concierge team are the ‘go to’ for all guests – nothing is impossible for the concierge team!

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not restricted to:

  • Lead the concierge team, plan for the smooth operation of the desk and ensure that all requests are handled in a timely, efficient and professional manner and to the highest level
  • Provide guests with all the information they require, for example onsite facilities and off-site amenities (knowledge of the local area is desirable)
  • Identify and introduce new ideas to enhance the client journey and create more ‘WOW’ moments for guests
  • Arrange transport and book restaurants if requested
  • Respond to guests requests and make the necessary arrangements
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of room types, products and services available to guests
  • Handle any guest problems or complaints in a professional and hospitable manner. Ensure they are resolved, and learnings are gathered.
  • Understand and comply with the Fire Safety procedures. To undergo training in all fire and security measures
  • Ensure concierge desk and entrance areas are clean and tidy at all times
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated areas
  • To be fully trained and knowledgeable of the in-house systems, from cutting key cards, and producing guest reports
  • Manage the switchboard and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner

This role will suit an experienced individual who is in a guest/client facing role and looking to progress their career in an exciting organisation. You will be used to thinking on your feet and remaining calm under pressure.

The successful candidate must be able to work early and late shifts, (typically between 0700 – 2000) and regular weekends. Hours will be worked averaging 40 hours per week including weekends and bank holidays – sometimes more depending on the needs of the business. For this reason, it is essential to have your own transport.
