With Executive Director, review sales performance regularly, agreeing targets for improvements and identifying strategies for retaining and attracting new customers and building sales and profitability.
Hire, train and guide store employees in delivering excellent customer service.
Assign rules and responsibilities to employees for operational effectiveness.
Work with the Head chef and sales assistants to maximise promotional and sales opportunities.
Ensure that all members of staff are fully briefed about menus, offers and other information.
Develop action plans for the team to meet operational and organizational objectives.
Adhere to employee wage and hourly laws.
Ensure that store is maintained according to sanitation and cleaning standards.
Obtain customer feedback and make appropriate business developments or changes to meet customer needs.
Monitor and manage store staff by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve operational performance.
Identify and address issues in store performance.
Develop strategic and operational plans for managing execution and measuring results of store.
Schedule regular meetings to discuss the business development opportunities and any issues.
Communicate clearly with all employees to ensure effective store operations.
Work with Executive Directors to monitor and manage all maintenance issues.
Ensure all relevant legislation is adhered to with regard to licensing.
Promote and practise relevant health and safety and fire safety standards
Maintain store environment clean, safe and inviting for customers.
Ensure adherence to effective security procedures, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure that accurate cashing up and cleaning procedures are carried out at end of evening.
Financial and Stock Control
Carry out supplies ordering, ensuring full availability of menu at all times.
Ensure all deliveries are received correctly.
Process and log invoices and petty cash receipts.
Maintain effective stock control, storage and rotation to minimise wastage.
Monitor sales and stocks on an on-going basis including monthly stock checks.
Review suppliers and prices on an ongoing basis to ensure value for money.
Be accountable for turnover and monitor against budgeted targets for sales and costs.
