The Lansdowne Golf Club's catering is widely acclaimed by their members and visitors alike, and whether it's breakfast, bar snacks or tea, a buffet or a barbecue, formal lunch or dinner, a special occasion, a hog roast or a dinner party for a few or many people, the catering team at Lansdown always hits the mark with the meats, freshest vegetables and best quality ingredients to ensure happy customers, whatever the occasion.
There is a choice of menus which can be tailored to suit your requirements. From kitchen to table, the service is friendly and professional, and the food impeccable.
The Lansdowne Golf Club have a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice Chef to join the team, learn the trade and gain a Level 2 Commis Chef Qualification.
You will assist the chef in preparing the general menu, serving the general menu, preparing function menus, serving function menus, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, maintaining kitchen paperwork.
You will train to operate confidently and competently as a chef. We offer an excellent opportunity to work in a fast and dynamic environment.
You will deal with all the pressures of working in a successful kitchen and you will pick up all the skills required for a successful career in the catering industry.

You need to have a genuine interest in cooking and show some understanding of food and cooking.
You need to be focused, energetic, enthusiastic and determined to learn.

Qualifications Required

None required, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.

Future Prospects

We offer the opportunity to work in one of our kitchens where you can advance to head chef, and we also offer the opportunity to work with our events department where you can work on large outside catering events.
