About the role
Sodexo are looking for a trainee food prep technician to join their team and complete a Commis Chef apprenticeship as well as gain skills, knowledge and learn cooking techniques.

Sodexo have got talent in abundance thanks to their Chefs. This specially designed apprenticeship focuses on developing your future, by giving you a chance to step up to the plate in their kitchen. They will show you the ropes, raise your confidence and push you to reach professional standards – all under the guidance of their accomplished chefs. It’s a full-time, salaried job that counts towards a nationally recognised level 2 qualification.
Duties will include:
• Ingredient preparation
• Cooking meals through various different cooking methods
• Plating up and presentation of food
• Taking instruction from senior chefs
• Cleaning and clearing down work stations
• Working in a safe manner at all times
• Portion control

Qualifications Required

None required, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Commis chef Apprenticeship.
Maths and English if required.

Expected Duration

12 Months

Working Week

Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm. 40 hours a week
