Working along with our close team you will be supporting the day-to-day service and production within the kitchen. Developing skills and knowledge in order to fully support the team and create a streamlined delivery of all areas of food service.

All food is prepared fresh daily so this is an ideal opportunity for you to learn all food preparations skills

We will support you in your own development and focus on skills gaps along with that supported by your training provider, through the apprenticeship.

The typical working day involves a split shift, working from 10am to 2pm where you will prepare your section for the day ahead and any special events we have that day/week. You will then at 2pm-5.30pm have a break, and from 5.30pm to 10pm you will be working with the kitchen team to support service, plating, and general day-to-day tasks in the kitchen.

During the day you will be learning and develop new skills, such as making bread, scones, Afternoon tea items, and petits fours. You will be shown how to store and serve these to our menu specifications and create these alone overtime.

In the evening you will be supporting the chefs by preparing garnishes and plating starters and desserts for service. You will be washing up, keeping your area clear and tidy, and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Your weekly hours will be spread over a 4-5 day working week, finding time for your own study which you can do at the Hotel office computers or on your laptop in a quiet area.

Aswell as your monthly salary, which includes time spent studying, you will beincluded in the staff tips which are shared out every 3 months.
