Bovingdons is one of London’s oldest and largest award-winning independent caterers. We operate as the exclusive events caterer at 9 prestigious venues and are on the approved list at 20-plus venues across London; in addition, we manage 10 café sites including our high street Flotsam and Jetsam brand. Our event catering operations are soon to be based from our brand new, state of the art central production unit based in Riverside Road, SW17, with satellite kitchens across our venues and cafés. 

We seek an experienced events Chef de Partie to join full-time ideally with experience in event catering to join our dynamic, friendly and committed kitchen team. As a full-time Chef de Partie you would be a core part of our events kitchen team. Your main responsibilities would be:

  • Food preparation in our central kitchen
  • Food production at events
  • Ensure the events kitchen operates efficiently and to a high standard
  • Help ensure the appropriate health and safety standards and food hygiene practices are followed
  • Driving company van to and from events.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on chef with passion and enthusiasm for high quality, exciting food, a real team player who is happy working on everything from simple conference sandwiches to the most gourmet five course meals. We are thoroughly proud of all that goes out of our kitchen, and it’s no wonder our clients rave about our food.

Must-have qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ chef experience
  • Experience of events catering
  • Trained in appropriate food safety and health and safety courses including Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Clean and full driving licence

Base salary for a full-time Chef de Partie starts from £26,000 up to £30,000 dependent on experience; for a chef willing and able to drive, the salary offered is up to £30,000.
