A chance has become available to join the established kitchen brigade at Denison Barracks as a chef supervisor in our Junior Ranks kitchen.
You will be responsible for:
• Adhering to Recipes and Food Quality
• Food Safety Standards and Training
• Health and Safety Standards and Training
• Costing and Delivering Functions
• Controlling Costs and Wastage

Qualifications Required
No specific qualiications are required however applicants MUST have experience of supervising within a catering environment.

Training to be Provided
Senior Chef Production Cooking apprenticeship including Functional Skills Maths (Level 2), Functional Skills English (Level 2)
Expected Duration
12-18 Months
Working Week
37.5hrs per week - Normal shift pattern is 06.30 - 14.00 or 11.00 - 19.00.
Things to consider
This position requires someone to be able to take ownership of the entire kitchen both food and operations in the Head Chef's absence to deliver to the costs and standards required. It delivers a good work life balance in comparison to similar job with limited weekends and not late nights. The job does require resilience as it can be changeable and unexpected things do happen.
