Apprentice Commis Chef - Oswestry School - Holroyd Howe

You will be working in a great kitchen environment using and serving fresh, seasonal produce using modern techniques and always looking at developing the food offer. Feeding 500 pupils and staff daily, 7 days a week. Plus in house and external hospitality events.

As well as having excellent presentation and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food and service and possess bags of enthusiasm.

Working within an experienced team of 14 and reporting directly into the head chef. You will assist the lead chef on breakfast, lunch, supper or hospitality 7 days a week. Learning new recipes, cooking methods, food preparation, knife skills, heath and food safety and kitchen management and much more. You will work 5 out of 7 days a week. Shifts times will vary to ensure you learn all aspects of the kitchen. Weekend shifts will be every other and a standard evening shift will be no later than an 8pm finish.

The role is term time only.
