Detailed Job Description

8020 Health Bar Kitchen combine nutritious, wholesome ingredients with freshly ground spices, bringing you deliciously healthy food. Their swift service and light, friendly atmosphere provide the perfect setting to enjoy your daily dose of fusion flavour.
An ambitious hardworking apprentice chef is required to work in the 8020 Health Bar's busy kitchen under the guidance of their experienced head chef. We are looking for someone who is a good listener and genuinely wants to learn the trade alongside working towards gaining a Level 2 Commis Chef Qualification.
Duties will include:
• Ingredient preparation
• Cooking meals through various different cooking methods
• Plating up and presentation of food
• Taking instruction from senior chefs
• Cleaning and clearing down work stations
• Working in a safe manner at all times
• Portion control

Skills Required

• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to take instruction
• Basic Knowledge of food preparation & food hygiene
• Ability to work under pressure

Personal Qualities

Well presented
A good level of personal hygiene
Excellent communication skills
Keen to build a career in the food industry.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths & English C/4 or above preferred, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.
