Detailed Job Description

If you are looking to work in a kitchen and develop your skills as a chef look no further. The Corbridge Larder is one of the best loved institutions in Corbridge, the Larder has firmly established itself in the hearts of food lovers in the region and further afield. Alongside working in the kitchen and learning the trade you will be working towards gaining your Level 2 Production Chef qualification.
Duties will include:
• Ingredient preparation
• Cooking meals through various different cooking methods
• Plating up and presentation of food
• Taking instruction from senior chefs
• Cleaning and clearing down work stations
• Working in a safe manner at all times
• Portion control

Skills Required

• Ability to work with others
• Knowledge of food preparation and hygiene

Qualifications Required

None required, however, Maths and English will be assessed as part of the interview process.

Future Prospects

We are looking to recruit someone who will become a permanent member of our team and develop with the business. Secour position for the right candidate with regular wage review as apprentice progresses.

Other Information

All staff receive a 15% discount of any products.
Free staff food when on shift.
Wage will be reviewed as apprentice progresses and additional hours available at peak trading times.

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Food Production Chef Apprenticeship.
Maths and English if required.

Expected Duration

12 Months

Working Week

30 hours

Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am until 5pm. Hours may vary for busy periods.
