The Oathill serve serious food in an unserious way. Serious food because they use the best ingredients to produce the best quality home-cooked food by professional chefs. An unserious way because their pub and restaurant is casual. A straight forward unfussy menu, no stiff service, no table cloths.
We are looking for a commis chef apprentice to complete the team at The Oathill. Are you self- motivated, ambitious, keen to learn with an excellent eye for details? We would love to hear from you. Alongside learning the trade, the successful applicant will work towards gaining a Level 2 Commis Chef Qualification.
Duties include:
- Food Preparation
- Plating up starters and desserts gradually progressing to more complex dishes
- Due diligence
- Maintain a clean & safe kitchen environment at all times

Qualifications Required
None required, however, Maths and English will be the assessed as part of the interview process.

We are looking for somebody to start as soon as possible.
Rota will include a mixture of days, evenings, weekends, straight and split shifts (2 short shifts same day) so you will need to be flexible. You will work at least 35 hours per week.

Things to consider
No buses after 6pm so would need to live local or have a means of transport.
35 hrs split/straight shifts as rota includes evenings weekends, earliest start 10am latest end 11pm
