The role

Ensure quality food preparation and presentation, ensuring an unsurpassed dining experience every time. Play a vital role in ensuring that all corners of the kitchen are operating to the highest of standards as instructed by the Head Chef and Executive Chef.

About Us

Artfam is a “one of a kind” business. With its unique ethos, Artfarm has changed people’s expectations of what a hotel or restaurant can be. That power has come from a team who at every level share the beliefs, passions and ambitions of its founders, Iwan and Manuela Wirth.

 

Roth Bar & Grill was Artfarm’s first business, it opened in 2014 with the opening of Hauser & Wirth in Bruton, Somerset. It is a vibrant and welcoming restaurant serving food from the surrounding farm, The award winning restaurant, led by husband and wife team Steve and Jules Horrell works closely with local farmers, producers and gardeners, to use ethical produce with a focus on sustainability.

The restaurant is renowned for its wood fired cooking and now Roth on the Road - an extension of Roth Bar & Grill, offers food cooked over open fire and styling at home or an off-site location.


What success looks like…

Guest Service

To fully assist the Senior Sous Chefs and Head Chef in their duties of ensuring the smooth running of kitchen operations to the highest standards. Create memorable experiences for our guests through the delivery of our Standard Operating Procedures ensuring that every guest feels special and wants to return.

 

Food Creation

Maintain, develop and guide more junior members of the team to produce a quality food product that meets with the standards and expectations of the restaurant.

 

Building Relationships

Build great relationships with the wider Restaurant Team and develop relationships with our suppliers.

 

Budget

Support the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chefs in contributing towards the kitchen budget which in turn supports the Executive Chef to achieve the financial targets.

 

Health & Safety

Support a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire and Evacuation procedures.

 

Training

Take ownership of your personal development, enhancing your ability to build knowledge and make informed recommendations, whilst supporting the development of other team members through on job coaching.
