Operations / Hotel Manager

We are looking for an experienced positive and dynamic Operations Manager or Hotel Manager to join our growing team. As Operations or Hotel Manager, you will provide the highest level of service to your customers and team so you need to have a calm and friendly approach, and be able to resolve customer and employee queries with confidence and intuition. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking, and either have previous wedding events experience or be keen to establish a career in this field.

The Operations / Hotel Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the business. You should be an accomplished people manager able to lead, coach and support. You will take the lead with the implementation, sustaining and reporting of KPIs and ensure company values are maintained.

The Operations / Hotel Manager will:

  • Drive commercial best practice, maximise on growth opportunities, exercising financial and revenue management.
  • Oversee all business areas with an eye for detail. Ensure standards are consistently delivered while utilising guest feedback to increase performance against KPI’s.
  • Embrace accountability for delivering the business plan, supporting and enabling the bigger picture.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of health and safety compliance and manage all audit processes to a high standard.
  • Be agile in your thinking and effectively manage your time to meet business needs.
  • Be the contact for customer escalations
  • Proactively and consistently plan ahead to keep things running smoothly, managing and improving processes along the way
  • Manage each department and ensure employees are trained, supported and executing high standards.

Important qualities for the Operations / Hotel Manager:

We are looking for someone entrepreneurial, who is incredibly organised and maintains a methodical and organised approach to working. You will have a strong strategic and commercial acumen with a huge level of passion and enthusiasm which will drive growth.

You will have strong people skills, be a natural leader and encourage and motivate your team to strive for excellence.

You will have a keen eye for detail and are rigorous about getting the job done methodically and to a high standard.

You will be dynamic and have the ability to oversee a wide range of activities within the house, the hotel, the office and across the grounds.

You will have experience of sales and marketing, including social media, previous experience within the events/hotel industry or similar, building and motivating teams, and proven experience in business growth.
