We are looking for a Head Chef to head up the team at The Crown Inn, Benson.
The newest acquisition of the Hook Norton Brewery Co, The Crown inn Benson underwent a major refurbishment and opened September 2020 with a major focus on fresh seasonal food.
We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our team who will be at the centre of our vision going forward, having a leading role in creating menus and using their flair to produce seasonal specials using locally sourced produce. You will be leading a team of 5 passionate chefs along with a small team of kitchen porters. There will be a transitional period with the outgoing Head Chef to ensure a smooth takeover to enable you to hit the ground running. This is a food led business currently on a 60/40 split on Food and Drink, busy all year round with peaks in summer and Christmas. This is an exciting new venture with an opportunity to be creative with menu designs, take responsibility and build a great team dynamic.
As head chef at The Crown Inn you will be responsible for the daily running of the kitchen whilst working with the General manager.
Duties will include:
-Creating imaginative menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
-Competent understanding of all regulations, food hygiene and guidelines
-Experience and knowledge of GP’s and stock management.
