Head of Food at Livelyhood Pub Group

                  Livelyhood Pub Group has a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Head of Food. 

 

Our amazing  Head of Food will be a key contributor to Livelyhood’s business objectives, bringing endless creativity and passion for the hospitality industry, to lead and grow our South London sites.

 

They will relish creating and delivering a food strategy that has our five Lively Ways (values) of Authentic, Daring, People, Lively and Sustainable at its very heart.

 

About the role

 

  •       Flexible 40 -45 hours a week.  Across 5 days of the week.
  •       Annual salary £50k - £60k depending on your experience
  •      Annual Bonus Plan- currently based on 30% salary bonus pot.
  •      25 days annual leave + bank holidays

  • Reporting to the Managing Director
  • Site, Kitchen and office based

Head of Food Responsibilities

 

Our Head of Food is someone that will analyse, interpret, and communicate financial and commercial information, whilst being able to create and review working systems to ensure best efficiency and effectiveness.

 

They will have the ability to identify new trends and product opportunities that can deliver a financial upside, and create and deliver a well-thought-through, structured and realistic food strategy to the business.

 

Our Head of Food will be a creative individual who finds excitement in driving food sales through the development and costing of new products. 

 

Our Head of Food will also relish being the expert in their field and will oversee and develop the strategic direction of the group menus, alongside finding new ways to inspire and develop the Head Chefs and kitchen teams across all our sites, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and health and safety are always achieved.

 

Our Ideal Head of Food will bring the following

 

 

  • Proven professional track record in a similar position and experience of managing kitchens of multiple site businesses
  • Demonstrable project management experience and delivery
  • Demonstrable budgeting skills to create food budgets and control costs across multiple sites
  • Proficient knowledge of human resources management
  • Culinary education/qualifications to underpin advanced knowledge of food professional principles and practices
  • Extensive experience of supplier processes, negotiations, and relationship management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A pro-active, highly organised and social person who loves hospitality!
  • Able to deal with a great variety of different stakeholders
  • A front runner in role modelling our five Lively Ways (values) of Authentic, Daring, People, Lively and Sustainable.
  • The ability to work with team members at all levels and to proactively direct and lead
  • A self-starter, able to self-manage, prioritise workload, multi-task and balance deadline
